  I wish to apply for the position of a freelance writer but I don't know what to put for the "expected pay". My previous employers paid me $10 per 200-250 word article and $80 per 1000 words. Should I state $80/1000 words in my resume?

  That's on the low side. You sld up your figures a bit. If not, just put 'negotiable'.

  $80/1000 words low? Wah,when I first took up that assignment,I thought a lot sia coz I don't know the market rate mah.

  Haha...this sounds lame but I maybe we could sell our compositions in written in secondary school at $10/200words!
