How to have interest in studying?

start w more realistic goals first?
eg:
maybe study one hr per day then increase to up to 4hrs (depends on what level u are)
aim for short term ones first, eg: test tmr; finish your hw, essay or report before dateline; or aim to finish revising this chapter before u go to bed etc...
then aim for long term: do well in ur mid yr or end of yr exams. -

Find a subject that interests you. So what I did was to just study science. Before exams, just learn everything last minute to scrap through. When it comes to streaming, I study extra hard so that I can go to the class I want. -
no matter what ever subjects ur studying, there are always ways to make one person interested in the subject to study...just try different approaches in studying and see which one suits u better
if u have no interest in studying...try to find out the problem...maybe its the teacher's teaching style..maybe the environment, the classmates...and just that you don't like studying...my elder brother actually isnt the type cut to study..but he is super business minded...fear not...if you are not good in studying..find the thing that u are super pro or has a talent in lo.... (that is if u really cant find a solution to get interested in studying) -

Yes, i agreed girlfriend is not a miracle pill for motivation, but as by means of last resort, whereby you just gave up everything, at least girlfriend could be by your side, at least someone to help you out, listen to you, giving you a hug to find hope again.
For me, it wasn't really my girlfriend, but at least she was someone close to me, perhaps a potential girlfriend, we ended up studying together as partners. Work hard together for our goals. -
try deluding urself n think the subject is very interesting...then ur mind will start to think ur very pro in that subject

like many had said, u will become more motivated to study when u lose ur chance to. read up some stories of people who don have the chance to learn thru schools, how their life is like... work in extreme harsh enviroment....
for me i had finally realised it again after i din do well in my prelims and don have the chance to study in jc in 1st 3 months... i miss schooling and the smell of fresh books... i miss reading and writing on my desk....

I think you can try focusing that studying is a kind of 'work' where u need to get serious, so even when you're not particularly interested in a subject, you will still study and still get good results. You don't need to be interested or enjoying it, you can relax by playing games or whatever you enjoy/ interested in more. But when it comes to ignoring work, it's going to be a bad attitude which you will carry into the future.
As a student, your only work is studying. That is your work. If you relax all the time, don't you find it's boring? Do some work and your life will be more balanced. Try it and you will see. -
