I actually thought it was quite funny and the victims were all very good sports.
It was done in the good spirit of humor. -
Sometimes they really take things a bit too far.
In case they didn't know, the penalty for drug trafficking is death. To directly put the fear of death into people is not a harmless prank. Considering the recent Nguyen saga, no one wants to be consorting with drugs. I, for one would also be in a state of extreme agitation if accused of drug trafficking.
Mediacorp had better come up with an instant, unconditional apology. -

Analyzing the gags that Mediacorp pulled, it mostly uses instant 'shock' and 'fear' antics which can easily go beyond control and after which it becomes torture for the victim and cease to be funny to everyone.
I don't think Mediacorp has the ability to think of any hilarious harmless gags. It's always someone victim 'lose' and Mediacorp 'win' situation which Mediacorp thinks is funny for Gotcha.
Gotcha has never tickled my funny bone before while Just for Laughs would make me laugh unconsciously. -

On the other hand, has anyone noticed how gloomy it is in the mrt especially during the morning peak hour? Why isn't 'Just for Gags' shown on the MRT instead of just showing how not to board the MRT at the last moment (on the NEL), which is repeated over and over again. SIGHHHHH.....

Some very harsh and strong criticism here. Very typical of locals when MediaCorp is concerned.
I myself, actually enjoy the show "Gotcha". It's good to see them resurrect the show after such a long time. It's definitely way better than the "Tiramisu"s or "Eye for a guy"s -

This isn't new to GOTCHA!
Previous gimmicks from the show illustrate why singaporeans are less likely to render kind assistance after being conned into similar acts by GOTCHA! artistes.
It's clear why Singaporeans remain apathetic given the circumstances. -

the current gotcha show is super lame. stupid scaring tricks and try to copycat punk'd. i think the old gotcha with moe alkaff was way much better. mediacorp should replay the old one.
by the way, i think the current gotcha hosts are so not 'natural'. -

Gotcha is bad...The hosts are so unnatural and the first day at work and celebrity gag are just trying to scare ppl...i actually feel a bit sorry for Carrie chong for being scared lyk hell after 2 ppl pretend as ghoss to spook her...she was like traumatised and have a break-down....Gotcha realy went a bit too far... well at least nex yk las epi liao..

i can barely stand to watch any shows on mediacorp anymore. seriously these retards need a wake-up call. worse still is the chinese programs. bloody lame, not even funny, and totally zero orginality.
