middlefingering illegal?

does anybody know if giving someone the middle-finger gesture is illegal in singapore??
i know there was a case where they got into major trouble because that middle finger led to some fight or something like that.
and as far as i know there is no specific law on middle finger BUT i know showing some one a gesture that causes him/her distraught is an offence.
how does a middle finger cause distraught though? it is offensive but i don't think the person will suffer some permanent trauma. haha
Why i ask is because it is very tempting for me to use it against those people who stops me at middle of orchard road psychoing me to do their surveys. where a simple, "sorry i am not interested" simply cannot get into their brain.
why its also tempting is to show those drivers who simply don't want to give way despite clear indication of me wanting to switch lanes.
to me, they are the ones causing the distraught to me. haha -
By law its illegal but its really hard to prosecute someone of that since you ned to have evidence. Otherwise its your word against his.

Anyway, ya, i think the showing middle finger to a zar bor can be taken as very offensive and skali kena outrage of modesty charge because it's quite lewd.
I was thinking if i show 4th finger leh? because people's first mental image think its middle finger when its actually not. but i think they know i am just telling them to F-off. -

My "personal" peace was broken in the sense that this guy stops me and blocks my way trying to give me a survey that i clearly indicated i am not interested.
Since this guy also stops many other people which some of them are unequally interested, so this "many other people" is the "public" as mentioned in the Penal Code.
Since he is breaking "my" peace amongst the public's, i can use a "self defence" of a reasonable force by really indicating him my middle finger which i do not intend to break the public peace but telling him strongly my dissent to him stopping me in a public place.
As for outraging a woman's modesty. i am just showing a middle finger which i have no intention of being lewd. Its a show of my strong feeling against their persistance of soliciting a survey out of me.
There is no intention of causing hurt or outrage of modesty. So in this case i wouldn't have the pre-requisite mens rea?

I think he can counter sue you if you kick his balls... since a action to cause injury has a much stronger case than a gesture
