  i'm only using less than 5mb of my internal phone memory but the phone displays 15mb is in use. why is this so?
  
  this is causing my phone to be lagging..

  try resetting factory settings. backup all ur photos.

  Does the 5mb includes your phone's system files or only your personal files? its likely that the 10mb difference may be taken up by applications or the system files used to run the phone.
