Shanghai port leaps to world top
The cargo thruput of east China's Shanghai port has reached 443 million tons in 2005, making it take the place of Singapore port to become the largest in the world, said the sources with Shanghai Port Administration here Saturday.
Statistics from the administration said the thruput of Shanghai port has grown by more than 200 million tons over the past five years.
The thruput of the port in 2005 has increased by 16.7 percent as against 2004.
As of Saturday the container thruput of Shanghai port amounted to 18.09 million this year, 24.2 percent more than that in 2004.
Insiders say that the development of the Yangtze River Delta brings vigor to the port.
The sea routes of Shanghai port cover Europe, America and Australia as well as the major parts of Asia.

You sure you didn't type this out yourself? Or has the standard of reporting dropped so drastically?
There are no news sources that use "thruput" as opposed to throughput. The words "Shanghai port" (I'm assuming that's the name of the port) appears too many times in the article. Remember when your primary school english teacher told you not to use the same words too many times in one essay?
There are a lot more errors in the sentence structure of the article, but I got tired after highlighting these...
