any computer expert? help!

Alrite, a week ago i was surfing net halfway then my pc suddenly shut off. When I tried to turn it on again it just wouldnt switch on. It didnt even have the beep sound, and the monitor shows nothing and the light keeps blinking.
After 2days I tried to switch it on, and surprisingly it turns on. So I did a AVG scan and it shows some java virus or something so I deleted them.Assuming everything was fine again, I went to play warcraft 3 on it...and suddenly it just switches off again and woudnt turn back on.
Just now I try to switch it on again but Im afraid itd switch off again if i try to play games...so can anyone help me? Is my computer a goner?
btw, after switching it on it says 'the cwshredder has encountered a error blah blah'...if its of any help...

did you play games like 5-8 hours non stop?
and did you give time for the computer to rest as in offing it and letting it rest?
I believe you could have soon burnt out your processor (CPU) or GPU (graphics card).

just remember not to over-stress it...remember that all computers bought AFTER 2005 HAVE the intel built in safe switch against over heating...
if yours is bought before 2005 then i not sure liao...
the built in safe thermal switch will auto off your PC when its over-hot. Like-wise for your GPU (if its bought after 2005).
Else your possible scenario is like this:
1st time: 12 hrs non-stop, auto off
2nd time: 10 hrs non-stop, auto off
3rd time: 5 hrs non-stop, auto off
4th time: 3 hrs
until CPU burnt off...then bye bye liao...
If got ample rest for computer, it can last for a long time.
The above is IF the CPU is working at 100%, not on the standby mode or 99% idle time.

I suppose it's ur hardware problem.
1) Possible that the connections on ur motherboard or link to ur switch, power supple is loose
2) ur motherboard might be dying soon
3) Power supply problem (very unlikely)
It's quite unlikely the problem is caused by virus attack as for what i know, there'snt any virus that cause PC to shut down and restart again after some time. (Correct me if i'm wrong).
It just coincidence that when u do virus scan, it detect some virus on ur pc.
Well, my solution to ur problem is best to bring ur pc down to the PC doctor and let them diagnosis. -

In fact, i ever got his incident stated in point 1). i.e. very interestingly, its my Graphics card, not latches properly, so that when it heats up, there is apparently some expansion due to heat, and the connection comes loose. This then causes my processor to restart,etc and surprisely when it cooled, i can start my computer again. This can also occur for the PSU.
PSU, some possibility, like if you buy those lousy brand PSU which gives unreliable wattage and can die off fast one. So after some time of running like 1yr or so, PSU may become unstable, sometimes when you start using some programs or rendering graphics, power may not be enough or wat and cause autostart. -

Most likely is ur motherboard giving u trouble or ur connections with cable/cards is bad. -

>> Your PSU/Mboard may have a leaky capacitor - it's failing
>> Your graphic card may have a swollen or leaky capacitor
>> Your ram could be failing
>> Large Bad Sector in your HDD
( Suddent unexpected shutdown issues are always power related, or voltage control issues, pointing to bad capacitors ) -

The java virus isn't as bad as the other viruses, it doesn't really affect your computer. My computer also like that, so I change the processor. Kena the same java viruses on the new computer and doesn't affect the computer.
