i've tried chinese speaking, dutch speaking and english speaking and i'll stick with english.

I like a girl or a woman, who prefers speaking her own dialect, but is proficient in English more than Mandarin.
I think if too westernized, they lose touch with asian traditions, while being too Chinese educated makes them pretty much a mountain tortoise. I find those who were Mandarin educated often have difficulty expressing themself in English, and also in describing things in English.
She should also be inquisitive in terms of self-seeking to learn more about the world, than just habitually turning to the person next to her to ask out of convenience. If you find out things on your own, you're more likely to remember what you've learnt. Asking makes a person's mind - LAZY! -
I'll start off using English...and then over time speak more of her language (unless that's the only tongue she knows!)
