Sometimes something just happens because it's in their culture. I've many Korean pupils, and the use of physical violence to solve problems is very much in their culture - so they tell me. It took me some time, each year, to deal with those who think this is acceptable in an international school. They learn quickly though, being young...though I suspect it'll all go back to normal once they return to ROK.
