the insurgents who beheaded those security contractors are saints huh?Originally posted by wenyong90:knn,US army is an a-s-s-hole,
u cant compare insurgents with people who r from the police force , the military...insurgents r insurgents..they r fucked up...but u dont expect this kind of behaviour from the US military....Originally posted by LazerLordz:the insurgents who beheaded those security contractors are saints huh?
look at it in perspective, even though the US Military Police are guilty of breaking the law, fact is, they have treated these militants with much more civility than they themselves would have gotten.
did they cut their hands off? slice their fingers off?![]()
I'm not trying to make the insurgents look like saints, either. The truth of the matter, though, is that if the US Army wants to be seen as being of a higher moral standing than the insurgents, it would do them a whole lot of of good to treat their captives better.Originally posted by LazerLordz:the insurgents who beheaded those security contractors are saints huh?

precisely.that's why we have to be careful not to compare both.Originally posted by valentinoo:u cant compare insurgents with people who r from the police force , the military...insurgents r insurgents..they r fucked up...but u dont expect this kind of behaviour from the US military....
frankly, the good deeds that some of the US forces do there, are made shameful by these black sheep. They should be court-martialed and punished if it were done on American soil.Originally posted by fudgester:I'm not trying to make the insurgents look like saints, either. If anything, at least one detainee was killed as a direct result of the abuse. Here's the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manadel_al-Jamadi
In light of that, it's hard to see them as any much better than the insurgents.
I hate the insurgents for what they're doing, but I cannot see the US Army in a very good light, either. For them to talk about human rights in one breath and breaking them in the next is utter hypocrisy.

“Is it possible that a few rich men — a small class of men — have persuaded a million poor men to attack and attempt to destroy another million men as poor as they, so that the rich may be richer still?
They told them that this brutal war was the destiny of the race. It was for the glory of the emperor; it was for the honour of the state; it was for their king and country. False - false as hell! They make war to capture markets by murder, raw materials by rape. They find it cheaper to steal than to exchange, easier to butcher than to buy. This is the secret of war. It is the secret of all wars: profit.
Business. Profit. Blood money.
Threaten a reduction on the profit of their money, and the beast in them awakens with a snarl. They become as ruthless as savages, brutal as madmen, remorseless as executioners.”
