My computer monitor seems to be a quite blur when i first switch it on but after using for about 15 mins, it becomes clear liao... Can anyone tell me why is it so? is it due to the cold weather or is it coz I seldom use this com?

This is not kidding but it's time for u to change a new monitor. Most likely, the fuse is going to blow soon.

What will happen if the fuse is going to blow soon? I have been using this monitor for my com for almost 4 yrs.. but this problem only came since yesterday leh... weird..

lmfao.. no kidding man, there will be a day where after you use a product for (insert number of years here) years, it will cease to function as normal, 4 years is a pretty long time too, just get a new monitor

Ok, but please note; if you replace your CRT monitor with one that cost below $200, don't expect durability - you'd probably get the same issue within 3 years.

Recommended are:

>> Philips
>> NEC
>> EIZO

if u are a heavy gamer and turn on 24/7 playing game then i suggest u don buy LCD monitor.

Get monitor from company lah, most company got plenty of monitors to throw away.

Ask your workplace got anot, save money.....

I am not a heavy gamer.. I usually use the com for maybe 2-3 hrs everytime I switch it on... my CRT monitor is a Acer one.. bought in 2002.. the problem only started yesterday... for the past 4 yrs.. no prob leh..

i suggest u use TV as your monitor screen.
my computer i use the 42 inch plasma tv to play. wahaha very shiok ar. Mr. Green

You can try degauzzing your monitor. It should be among the settings when you press those buttons at the bottom your monitor.

Hey, u better save ur impt notes 1st, in case the light jus goes off anytime. I have encountered the same problem previously. Luckily it is the inverter, not the LCD. So check ur computer and change if necessary Wink

if u heavy gamer go get LCD....now the response time and viewing angle getting better...u cant see any ghosting with digital connection and anything above 80~85kHz refersh rate...good for the eyes runnign 24/7 LCD consume many times less power (max 50watts cmpared to CRT up to 130watts)...LCD monitor good for the eyes as compareed to CRT and even if you ... even if u on a 50,000 lamp hours LCD 247365, u can use it for 5 years non stop. 15~17" LCD prices are low and affordable...won't take up much space Mr. Green

fuwell is known to be 1 of the few honest merchants in SLS.
service not exactly the best, but you're not getting ripped off and you can always go back if you have problems.

the other one would be cybermind.

suddenly ok doesn't mean it's repaired.

my monitor also had a similar problem, when start that time, will be slowly dim. after a while back to normal.

then 1 day, the lights went out.

you've been using it 4 years liao, that's already value for $$. many monitors konk out after 3 years. this kind of thing don't need niao piao one. save yourself some anguish and just get a new monitor.

get lcd. less heat, less glare, less power used.
17" can get for $500 +-
