Smoking at lift landings. Illegal/Inconsiderate/Not Wrong?

  8 m is still near, the wind blows smoke directly to flat. next time must check wind direction.
  
  the best place to smoke is the staircase between floors. less wind and can suck back all the smoke, better value for money,And breathe the same smoke twice.

  Majority of tax payer don't smoke. If citizen are to be given a choice and could vote to ban or not ban smoking, I believe majority will vote to ban.
  
  Anyway, government is taking step to ban smoking on certain public venues which is a good news. Government doing this for the "majority".

  This new ruling will only come in July 2006. So now, smokers are still allowed to smoke in hawker centres and coffeeshops.
  
  The new places that smokers are not allowed to light up are: bus stops/interchange, stadiums, swimming pools, parks.
  
  So I think smokers still get the 'right' to smoke in hawker centres and coffeeshops for another 6months.
