Social Perception of Your Name

Hi...
As we know, names may create impressions.
Your name might cause people to have certain impressions and/ or preconceived images of who you are and what kind of a person you are.
Let's share on what you think is the social perception of your name.
For me, I think people think I have a weird name, and more or less, that has created some uneasiness for me in several social situations.
Also some of them like to joke about my name. Coz if you pronounce it a bit differently, it becomes a body part.
I believe my name has therefore created an undue negative effect of making people take me less seriously.

altho my name is not really new or unique, im surprised that some ppl think that my name is girl name. anyway, Li Ka Shing ur name doesnt sound so bad as compared to others ive seen lol. then there was once whereby i was watching the ending credits for a movie i cant remember what, theres this name - Christopher Fu.ck

Ppl ALWAYS ask for my name's spelling as it is very uncommon... Which results in ppl remembering me longer than I can remember them
Most of the people pronounced my name wrongly as well

Haha... most people especially guys like to call me by my surname. I have no problem with that.

My name Alvin is ok. But my friend used to call me "kiss" coz my chinese name is Ching Yi Qin.

My cousins call me ling ling, which happens to be zero zero.
One of them call me xiao gui ling... God knows what's that. -

Hit people no effect. Hit hard enough blue-black only. But with qigong, can hit people and injure internal organs like kidneys. My teacher got it once. No bruise seen, but kidney injured. -

There's tong bei quan, but whether the effects are like what the comics describe, I am not sure. Never learn tong bei quan before.
