Good charities in Singapore

  Hi all,
  
  A group of close friends are going to get together and buy some useful stuff/ donate $ to some charities in Singapore.
  
  Need some help here to get start on our activity, does anyone know of any good and honest charities that we can visit? We are thinking of one orphanage and one old folks home, but want to find those that are "forgotten" and do not have the help of big government organisation.
  
  Will be great if you can help with some suggestions.

  Canossaville Children's Home.
  
  Rhonda from Club 30 was holding a charity drive for them. If I'm not wrong, she decided to switch to another charity home.

  My hubby and I do this about 3-4 times a year where we go and buy in bulk all the necessities and distribute to selected charities. This year, we gathered more friends who have expressed interest in joining us, so about 10 folks in all.
  
  So to your question, we do this regularly, scale may differ depending on number of folks we managed to rope in. (and size of bonuses :-))
