Got one line that is going to complete contract with M1.
Thought of changing to Starhub because of Hubbing discount?
Also I feel M1 not rewarding customers well.
any comments? -

I switched from Singtel to Starhub only recently. The reception for Starhub is weaker. Places that I was able to connect to the network, I cannot now. But those are the less common places like in the lift, in a basement or underground tunnel.
But, I must admit that Starhub's per second billing led to a lot more savings in my monthly bills. Plus, hubber rewards points can be combined with your Cable TV and MOL. ( If you've got them)
I'm not sure about the customer service at Starhub. Haven't called them for anything yet. -

Singtel customer service is really bad. Whenever I call them up to enquire about bill discrepencies, they treat me like dirt. Their condescending remarks really piss me off. Can you imagine that their discount coupons can reach me one day before the expiry date? Only when you are terminating the contract do they call you up and throw all kinds of discounts at you.
Starhub customer service is neither exceptionally good or bad. Average I guess. What really left me flummoxed was when they sent me a reward for staying with them for many years... A $100 discount coupon that can be used ONLY for NEW LINES and not for extension of contract. Useless discount I tell you. -
Starhub has this 018 calls to msia free so for those Msian but spore PR it is a wise choice to go for Starhub. For those who like to offset bills using points that is never expired from credit card, m1-citibank best. As for singtel i have yet to find any attractive stuff. I dun have broadband at home so I guess for my situation i got for m1

hubber discount can go up to 15% for HP bills.. 15% for SCV.. and 20% for Maxonline ( including the promotion discount when i got the maxonline )...

Starhub is good if you get all services under them. It is like SCV, broadband and hp all use them then their points rewarded is like interchangeable. Very worthwhile.
If you dun subscribe scv, broadband then the attraction factors to be their customer is lesser. -

Nothing comes for free. If you get better network quality and least call drops, you will pay more than M1/StarHub. -
I prefer SingTel than to M1 or StarHub.

I received a 100 Discount voucher in December but it has expired.
Do you think Starhub is willing to issue me another if I tell them I am applying for a new line with them?
As for M1, when I went to the shop at Bukit Panjang and asked the staff there whether i should stay with M1, the only benefit they could highlight to me is better coverage and nothing else. They also advise me to call M1 Customer Service to see if they can offer me vouchers. However, when I called them, they seemed uninterested.

It all depend lor. If you are a heavy user and have big bills every month they may consider retain you. If you always late in payment, get low cost plan etc then it is not worth to offer you better freebies to retain you.
Each service providers got their own yardstick to judge wanna retain or not. As customer please wise up. If ppl not keen to retain you, you should get signal to switch. Dun be thick skin like wan them to retain you and at the same time offer you freebies -
I will go for Starhub, M1 to me sucks big time. Poor service and the quality of their management has dipped further after they IPO....the shareholders cash out and does not seem to be interested in pursuing better services for the consumer.

just called starhub, apparently they are unwilling to extend the discount.
However was advised to wait for their upcoming anniversary which they have every year.
Anyone has any idea what was last year's promotion. -

if M1 having 500 SMS free. then u sms 0 to local, but sms 1 to oversea. M1 charge $0.15.
if Singtel having 500 SMS free. then u sms 0 to local, but sms 1 to oversea. Singtel charge $0 ?? and ur remaining sms is 497 ?? coz 1 global sms = 3 local sms?
