I didn't return it; because she was rude, and there was no IC inside.
I found a wallet with about $100 outside the women's toilet, I handed it to the information counter and had her paged to collect it.
Basically my rules are simple; if there are identifying IDs or cards in the wallet, I'd return it. If not, and it's found in a cab I'd notify the cab company.
But if the amount is huge, such us $40K, I'd know someone's in big trouble if I don't return it - so I will return it.
I'll be walking the opposite way.Originally posted by stellazio:if i see it dropping out from the person infront of me i'll return it to him/her..
I lost my hp and wallet before.Originally posted by fudgester:My rules are:
If there's identification in the wallet, I'll contact the guy. Otherwise if I'm busy I'll hand it over to the information counter or the police.
If it's a handphone, I'll wait for the guy to call. If he still doesn't call after one day, I'll look through the handphone address book and look for 'Home' or 'Mummy' or something and call the number.
If there is no identification and the amount is small (say <$10), I'll put it inside a donation box. No way to contact the guy anyway. Either I donate it or someone else will pick it up and keep it.
If it's a large amount of money, I'll hand it over to the police. I don't know how large is 'large amount of money', but the most I've ever found is $10 anyway.
