do you buy drinks/popcorn when watching movies?

i don't because prices are outrageous. i won't die without drinking for 3 hours anyway.
but according to wiki, if we all DON'T buy any drinks/popcorn when we go watch movie, we will 1 day not have any cinemas left

The food and beverage are indeed very expensive.
If we have planned to watch a movie, maybe will smuggle in the crackers and drinks.

Actually I'm really pissed with the policy that we can ONLY buy food from the cinema operators. Surely with ticket prices rising like a geyser, the cinema operators don't need to depend on POPcorn and drinks to survive?! It doesn't make sense at all.
Moreover, the range of food they offer is so limited. Once I bought some peaches and a bottle of mineral water up for a movie at Plaza Sing. There was a 'food enforcer' there who insisted that I pass her my peaches and mineral water. If I had bought similar items available at the cinema counters and they don't want competition - FINE. But if you dont have fruits available, and I happen to like eating grapes instead of popcorn or watever while watching my movie WHY cannot? I thought government preaching healthier choices?
And they simply blatantly ignore the fact that if you buy a bottle of mineral water from #B1 it costs $0.80 and if you buy it at #04 their counter, it costs $1.80. Puts a whole new perspective to 'rising' costs.
So now, I just go without eating anything in cinemas and I bring my own drinks. I'm just waiting for the day our cinema prices exceeds our budget airline ticket prices to overseas and I'll just watch the films elsewhere. -

It's not true that you can only bring in food and drinks bought at the cinema. On many occasions I've openly brought food and drinks bought from 7-Eleven into the cinema and none of the ushers stopped me or said anything.
That said, I do sometimes buy the popcorn and drinks from the cinema, though I seldom manage to finish the popcorn. -

bring a sling bag! put ur chips and drinks frm the supermarket in them! my way. hehe.

normally you people know when eating popcorn, your mouth with leakage at least 10% on the carpet. -

i don't understand why people must eat or drink when watching movies in cinemas. then watch halfway go to toilet cos drink too much water. caues such inconveniences to other people.

i normally don't buy food and drinks when going for movies. don't have this habit of eating in cinema. unless their combo set comes with very cool freebies. like that time got the lords of the rings poker cards. but usually i'll ask them 1st if i can just buy the poker cards alone.

will juz buy a $1 mineral water from super mart, but NEVER from the pocorn stand... unless i haven't had my meals.... but will still NOT eat in the cinema itself... -
will buy at times , but depends on certain cinemas (some like the *athy nachos which me n frens tried few times puii)
