Teachers are your friends !
LOL ...
By right people in the education are not supposed to be biased ...
however if you do show attitude to them , they might do the same in reverse ...
The students are the one giving the problems ....
As a student , I only do projects , homework , have remedial , revise for exams , attend school for the entire duration I'm accountable for , go for school events , go for CCA , go for all the extra things CCA wants and let parents nag at schoolwork ...
As a teacher , you would have to first qualify (grad from uni) ... now got grading systems that HOD use to grade teachers .... then usual stuff , mark tons of homework , check for mistakes , find common mistakes , note down to explain to all the different classes , set test papers , mark test papers , prepare tutorials , research for supplementary stuff relevant to topic taught , handle kids with disciplnary problems , handle their parents , handle the HOD asking for report , participate in school events (usually watching , but some organizes) , then have to comprehend with the happenings in the CCA that you're in-charge of , submit budget report to principal for the CCA requirements , get anything the CCA needs (usually CCA is few teachers handle) , listen to complains from the CCA , stand all the kids misbehaving , go home during the evening due to the five-days work week , settle attendance problem in form class , find out who is weak in your taught subject , give rememdial , then get fed up with the laptop MOE issued , get fed up with the AV system in the class , put up with any nonsense the colleagues give , must be good citizen , cannot smoke/drink/gamble in front of students , cannot break any law as SG scrutinizes the teachers and lastly guide the students well for them to people proper citizens with a correct work attitude as well as an optimistic and pragmatic way of dealing with situations and problems ...
Teachers feel for the students , that's why they push them , they want them to excel for their own future ...

You can stare at my post with awe or digust ...
But do remember your teachers ....
I'm not a teacher , but I'm sure they did much more than this ....
They inculcate what that helps us survive in the world ...
How we can contribute to the society ...
The fact that everyone is learning forever , and one day , teaches someone about experience ... (most teachers are expert/pro students if you know what i mean , learn! haha)
