So after finishing the first upfront payment for your HDB flat and you take up the HDB loan using CPF, after work a few years you would have some more CPF inside. So in order to prevent paying too much interest to HDB, what is you all recommendation to pay up a lump sum again to them so as to re-calculate the loan and hence reduce the amount we owe HDB.
Would a five year span be recommended or after 3 years can go make a lump sum payment. Do HDB impose the number of times a HDB tenant can make a lump sum payment? And once the loan is reduced the re-calculation will also reduce the say pay 25 years to pay 20 years?
