Heavy rain causes minor flooding in Bedok, Commonwealth
SINGAPORE : The Meteorological Service says more heavy showers with thunder can be expected in the afternoon in the next two days over most of Singapore.
This comes as heavy rains on Friday flooded roads in various parts of the island.
Viewers called Channel NewsAsia about a waterlogged bus stop near the Commonwealth MRT.
Channel NewsAsia also got calls about flooding at Bedok North Avenue 3.
The Public Utilities Board says it had put in extra drainage to alleviate the situation at Bedok, and it will finish drainage improvement works in two or three years. - CNA/ms -
commonwealth near MRT and SERS development always flood when there are prolonged rains. simply avoid the area as only buses and trucks can pass thru.
