i realised the symbols shuffles every round... -
No matter what 2 digit number you choose, the possble answers are limited to a grp of number 0, 9, 17, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 71, 72....etc. All these are assigned the same pattern, that's why the program will never "guess" wrongly.

n if u realise...the symbol in the crystal ball is awaes the symbol for 0 of dat round... -

like what someone said, the numbers r limited to the following:
0, 9, 17, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 71, 72
and although the symbols for these numbers change regularly, the rest of the symbosl for other numbers remain the same. every round, all the program needs to do is to show u the symbol it has choosen to represent the above numbers, and since u're likely to have choosen another number u don't notice that the symbol has changed for your previous answer and u think that the symbol for the next answer u've choosen is unique to it. -

i noticed the answer it gave was the same as the symbol for 0 everytime....

can be proven mathematically
any 2 digit number can be represented as (a x 10 + b)
so to add the 2 digits together and subtract from the original number,
we have
(10a + b) - (a + b)
= 10a + b - a - b
= 9a
which means the end result can be represented as (a x 9) where 0<= a <= 9
SO!
if you'll notice, all the multiples of 9 (0, 9, 18, ...) actually have the same symbol!!!
so whatever number you pick, the mind reader can correctly guess the symbol... -

i believe it was posted around here before. the answer is really simple.
lets start with the number 50.
50 - 5 = 45
51 - (5+1) = 45
52 - (5+2) = 45
i dont think i need to go any further. -

eg.
21 - 3 = 18
22 - 4 = 18
If you choose a no. starting with 3...your exact answer will be 9 * 3 = 27
33 - 6 = 27
34 - 7 = 27
The final answer will always be a multiple of 9...
But the exact answer depends on what is your first digit of your two digit no.

The program is limited in some ways. It didn't guess what was on my mind. I was staring at the same symbol all the time.
It will work only in multiples of 9. For other multiples, it is a gone case. It will anyhow choose. That's why those who say the program can't figure out they think is because it is not in multiples of 9.
