Scorpions is one of my all time favorite. Back in the 80s HDB void deck so many malays learning to play guitar will try at Scorpions or Deep Purple songs first as their first pick up guitar songs. You walk past you can hear the guitar melody and their song singing though I prefer their guitar playing better
I got their 70's ballads,rockers and 80's ballads,rockers compilations and a few 90's songs. Do you know their guitarist Rudolph Schenker has a brother who is just as good and later join Deep Purple briefly before coming out to form his own group called MSG (Micheal Schenker Group)?
Try UFO this band of which micheal also played a while. Captain Nemo, Into The Arena are some instrumental pieces that showcast his guitar skills. I like his way of playing guitar cuz there are melody in it and not just pure strumming style. The flying solo is awesome....
For malay forummers ask ard your seniors do they know Deep Purple and Scorpions and I think 90% they heard and know. -

Go Semabawang Music Center to get their 70s compilation. There are two. One is called Hot & Heavy and the other called Hot & Slow
Their covers will feature a almost naked lady with a scorpion that rest just on top of the naked lady. Very cool image I will say -

I think we all can agree the earlier material from Scorpions are much more nicer although only their 80s music are getting them more well known. I like the album Animal Magnetism where a lady stare up at the butt of a man hahahah.... it implies man are animal and we man are the magnet the ladies are drawn to us? Or it simply mean human are all animals deep within our core

Skid Row was not long lasting enuff. Except for their 18 & Life and some other pieces from their first album, the subsequent follow up album songs are not that melodic anymore although it is loud enuff. I know cuz I have a compilation album from them
My style is melody within noise and to me Slave To The Grind abum and others just not my kind. -
I still prefer air supply, simply red.
