Rayden is my favourite character:
Watching events unfold from high above, the thunder god realises the grim intentions of Shao Kahn. After warning the remaining members of the Shaolin Tournament, Raiden soon disappears. He is believed to have ventured into the Outworld alone.
Ending
Familiar with Shang Tsung's lies and Shao Kahn's brutality, Raiden accepts their challenge to compete in an Outworld tournament. He is well aware of their scheme to unbalance the furies and invade the earth realm. Raiden vows to use all his might to end their treachery.
By winning the tournament, Raiden destroys Shao Kahn and all his minions. He also destroys the dimensional gates which would have been their passageway to the earth realm. -
Mortal Kombat? Sucks big time. Controls and graphics, in my opinions, CMI. Give me Marvel Heros anytime.

Yes, at 93-95 period. The teens growing up at the time, will know how popular this game was. But MK3 disappointed. Not very good . because it is first time a Fighting game looked like 3D, lifelike movements, different graphics tone, Serious darker theme than most other fighting games.
Most importantly it had computer generated blood and realistic gore, first time ever for a game.
And a bunch of memorable gothic characters which can put the best character designer of hollywood to shame.

This game was banned but u still can buy *P . Some shops in sg also selling original in that time i bought it was original cartridge. Costed 140 bucks for me!

The ppl who had been too young and never played it before when it first came, u should see this game in motion. For its time, it was very advanced graphic and animation.

I do rather prefer the good old 16 bit era. It was the golden age of games. -

The use of emulators? 16 bit Snes was made to be played on the TV speakers
And the picture quality. No doubt now u have high res PC monitors but the original games of 16 bit their resolution & sound were optimsed for the standard of their time, when u try to play it in newer res the detail (possible introduction of extra noise/artifacts in the res)gets worse and the overall the feel is gone.Simply Because they were not made for today's standard

Mk is more realistic and novel idea..when u see other games shooting stupid balls of fire on their hands which dont go along withth eir character. at least MK makes use of mystical arts like Sub Zero who can freeze, ect...like X-Men....They are wonderful...Other games followed trend for the sake of following. MK did not.
