what does this smooth line in the stock market means?
why is it so smooth and linear while other lines
i notice most of them appear during the 12-2pm region daily
investors having lunch?
and if i see a smooth line during a non-lunch hour time, what does it mean? some super rich guy is buying millions of stocks? -
i think is the stock index stopped tracking during lunch hours. when it resumes, it just takes into account the average movement as a result of those low volume transactions during lunch hours and hence the straight line.

The smooth line represents a breakaway gap. It is not necessary to be shown on the chart. Some have it, some dont.

No. No one trades during that time. Teh reason there is a a gap is because the moment the markets open, outstanding orders are executed immediately.
