Ermm how do transfer large sized file?

  my pc always spoiled, sometimes it can on sometimes cannot. And I could like to transfer some movies frm pc to lappy...but I only hav an mp3 player that can hold 256mb files. the movies i wanna play are around 900mb each.
  
  is there anyway to split the 900mb file to several small parts so i can xfer 1 by 1?

  If you want to transfer through a lazy person method, upload it to www.yousendit.com and download it again onto your laptop.

  go get yourself a cross-cable and do a direct connection into the NIC of your pc and laptop
  
  share out the folder where your files are located (pc)
  
  use the net use command or map network drive with windows explorer (laptop)
  
  then proceed to copy from there

  but abit crazy man...its like 900mb. id need hours if not days to xfer the whole thing...provided its d/ling at a reasonable speed. is there anyway to like ermmm split the files then xfer via thumbdrive? itd b much faster rite

  store in some online file storage site

  u can split the movie using window movie maker. It's found in all window xp programs files folder

  Fiddling with networking on your PC, can give you technical headaches.
  
  Go buy an external USB HD housing. Take out your hard disk, if it is in C drive configure jumper so that it is slave, plug into external hard disk housing, turn it ON and plug USB cord in. You can then transfer whatever you want.
  
  Or, you can buy the external USB hard disk housing along with a 250Gb hard disk and use it to transfer and hold your files in.

  no money buy hardrive...only hav a 256mb mp3player, nvm seems to figure it out thanks for helpin anyways
