promise 1st year 1.2%
2nd year 2.6%
subsequently 2.65%
i pay for the first 6 mth, then increase 1.7%, then another 8 months to 2.6%,
1 WEEK LATER to 3.8%, 2 months later to 4.7% !!! really damn it!!!
i'm thinking of refinance with other Bank. but what's the procedure like? Do i need to pay extra to current bank and/or new bank???
i've checked with StandChart, they said i'm out of lock-in period already. But what other charges i need to pay??
any expert here?? pls advise...

Did they say BY the second year is 2.6%? If yes, then before second year, the rate will increase.
If they say the rate FOR second year is 2.6%, then when the second year starts, the rate will increase to 2.6%. -

During promotion period, everything is like what you stated. After that, no more. That's why the increase is so large.
My Singnet broadband plan also like that. Promotion period pay this much, after that, they suck the hell out of you. All businesses work this way anyway. -
