err...part of the Americano's ancestors from ENgland....so basically the englsih elements are there...immigrants and ppl from europe and all over latin america somehow found there way there and settled down...so there;s a mix of culttures and so Americam English...something like singlish although i would not compare the 2.
those..."man, yo man homeboy" are the extremes common among the blacks and ppl of the lower class but somehow is widely accepted in the music industry since a substantial part of the selling music are from black American artistes. i mean "a ss" is still taboo in the American English dictionary and "a rse" is taboo in the English Dictionary and generally it considered rude in a former conversation.
but in the entertainment scene, it how u look at it ......... taboo brings out the humor within
