i wrote US english in my GCE o level Cambridge paper...so i was trying to sell UK a US product and i go a C6 in English
so ppl at work interview look at me cert say my Englisch fuck up...so i picked up a little Jewman and that's enough to spite them all hahaha -
US English is low class, spoken by immigrants, mexicans, blacks, rap singers.....
UK English more high class-shows speaker got culture and breeding, provided don't speak with Cockney accent.........
But most interesting form of english is Singapore/Malaysian English - truely a class of its own......................... -

those..."man, yo man homeboy" are the extremes common among the blacks and ppl of the lower class but somehow is widely accepted in the music industry since a substantial part of the selling music are from black American artistes. i mean "a ss" is still taboo in the American English dictionary and "a rse" is taboo in the English Dictionary and generally it considered rude in a former conversation.
but in the entertainment scene, it how u look at it ......... taboo brings out the humor within -
Most English we learn is school is UK English..actually, there's just minor differences between the two..i suppose not much a problem in Singapore. Except when it comes to HTML coding, it's irritating cos we are using US english in html coding whereas here we are, learning UK english.

flick knife is british for switchblade and common american way of saying "that guy u just wasted out there was johnny's frend" simply means "that man u just killed out there was johnny's frend". -

UK, its official but we often pick up some terms and crap from US influence. i know some people whom refuse to acknowledge dat colour is spelled colour, always insists on color. i think i got impression of someone telling me that we must follow us style some years ago. even english teachers sometimes make these sort of mistakes..

"anti"...we usually pronounce as "ant-tee"
but seems like us pronounce "ant-tie"
