Memory Card For Digital Camera

  I understand different model of digital camera uses different memory card type. So I want to know what is the price range for xD card say 128Mb, 256Mb, 512Mb and 1Gb.

  I think it should be different brand maker uses different proprietary memory card format. For Olympus it is using xD card but there other brands that uses their own format. There seem to be a non-standard going on. It is like those proprietary battery those camera has? Just like our handphone where a nokia battery cannot fit to a samsung phone and vice versa.
  
  So for me i choose olympus model which take normal alkaline AA battery so when go overseas if battery flat i can easily find replacement.

  C180 no Optical Zoom, only digital Zoom. Everythings stretch out. Better getting a Fe110.

  Which is wat I did. Furthermore the LCD is 130K pixel whereas C180 is only 85K pixel. There is a big difference cuz I take out and see when take pic C180 the LCD screen like will blurred a while then snap. FE110 does not suffer from this furthermore got better zoom. The price is just $60 more.
  
  Now Courts, Harvey Norman all got offer with free extra 128Mb 256Mb 512Mb throw in depend on package. That piece of plastic already cost quite a lot. So buying from them is not considered expensive as compared to small shop as most likely they charge you for the extra memory card. So in the end the price to pay is about the same between big stores and them
  
  Big stores with freebies throw in will sort of level the pricing war between them and those small shops. So if no promotion wanna buy try those small shops instead

  It is not. Go hardwarezone and download the pricelist. Sim Lim Best Bargin Computers is selling Olympus XD 1Gb $137 and Scandisk XD 1 Gb $129. So that is only on paper give or take a few if go down I think safe to say between $130 - $150 at most.
  
  To me 256Mb can take 200 photos is more than enuff. 1 Gb mean you got a lot a lot of photos
