I don't think so.
A lot of people feel that being honest is a basic rule/manners. So being honest is just another "matter of fact" thing, so they don't really care or appreciate us being honest and just take it for granted.(people being honest to you, you eat them. you being honest to others but they eat you, you cow father cry mother!!!)
The only time when they do appreciate us being honest is when they are out trying to eat us. Sadly, I'm also alwyas being eaten... -

it is not about them. but about yourself, a matter of conscience. if you can sleep well at night knowing that u r dishonest with some ppl & causing them problems/grief/hurt , then dun be honest.

i can only say that it pays to be honest to people who are important to you,eg family and close friends.Being too honest with everyone else will only bring you disadvantages in our realistic world.
