CNY should be called lunar new year

  CNY is an international holiday which also is the biggest one in korea ,viet nam .in japan .ppl also keep many custom .so ,not only chinese .many ppl celebrt the holiday

  It IS already called lunar new year.
  
  Anyway, I think the Japs have their own version but it isn't so soon.

  japs .in 1868 .becos of ming zhi reformation .lunar new year were replaced by western new year .but now ,they still keep many custom .for example .clean house . bai nian .qiao zhong .......

  Actually Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year is also acceptable. In fact, the word Lunar is actually referring to the new moon and it's according to the Lunar Calender. But because it's celebrated by most Chinese, it's also called Chinese New Year now.

  yeh lor anything lunar refers to/ or is related to the moon so u see our "chinese" calendar 15th and 1st usually the moon in te sky veri round
