  if u r tokin abt 'the world is dying'....the current govt def wun live thru to the world ends so it doesn't bothers dem...we already hv the world's superpowers to handle dat n find better place....US's nasa, eu's european space agency, china's new cosmonauts....

  As FireIce says, for what we send an astronaut to outer space? No such courses are offered here anyway. How many Singaporeans aspire to be one anyway? How many astronomy enthusiasts are here when we can't see stars at night?

  singapore would rather spend money building useless infrastructure like the esplanade and the new parliament building..why spend money on a parliament that is next to useless?

  singapore will not send astronauts to space. instead, we will build the world's best "spacepolis" and provide "astronauts-wannbe" services at a very affordable rate.

  I think the astronauts won't be paid full time like people get paid in regular jobs.
  
  No money to substain family etc, no talk.
