Why now so many Filipino work in SG?

Not maids, But rather as shop attendant in Fila or Fox or whatever its called name is always F-Gender or F-Kids

How come our jobs getting lesser and lesser is because these organizations don't hire SG people!
Just because our modern teens about 20% or more are ah beng types, bad attitude and all doesn't mean the other teens all the same
That's why I don't wear pink in case get labelled this way when going job interviews or working

Well tat is life. As long as a job can be done at a cheaper price which employer don't want? That is why for local sporeans u muz be able to do stuff that those foreigner cannot or hard to do. Only then can you earn a rice bowl every month. Sad but true fact -

When their parents stop giving them pocket money and stop feeding them, they will be forced to go and work. Poor families children is totally different from rich families children cuz they have to fight for every single thing whereas the latter just open mouth and ask their parents will then give them -

If you are referring to those foreign talent with credential then it is up to individual employer to determine if that person is worth the money they pay him/her for. Same job given to a local will be better? That is all up to the employer to decide. We employees just do what we are told. A good employer will recognise talent be it local or foreign talent. A bad employer will associate the word foreign with talent.

running a business is not like running a welfare centre leh, they got rental, they got overheads. if they can get the workers who are more committed and capable, why should they care much if they are local or not. I believe it is always easier to hire a local than foreigner, so i guess the reason they choose the latter is because they are not impress with the locals. -

Precisely that is what I was trying to say. Given same job both local and foreign can do why opt for the latter? One of the reason could be like what you say not impress with local.
So who to blame? We local sporeans lor. We make it so hard for the employers to employ us -
govt shld come up with a scheme to give priority to local ppl applying for the same job with same qualifications both being sg n foreign respectively and the employer MUST employ the local boy unless the foreign dude expected salary is 20% lesser than the local boy
want local talents to help sg? don't come up so many 'job opportunities' then 90% of the jobs goes to foreigner while the 10% are cleaners
govt always never consider their actions then blame singaporeans and say we very fussy about jobs and crap when those job cant even pay 50% of the cost of living in sg!
say we always complain this complain that when they also complain about us
food all so expensive! $3 food $1.20 drinks then food give so little like giving to little puppies
I go apply for job in Hang ten after my Os then this filipino got the job because she expected only $600 per month working full-time while I asked for $1000
sg is no longer home liao la! at least in western country we are in demand because of our qualifications (minus the racism)
govt want talented ppl to stay still want do so many stupid things that wld lead to suicide@ -

I do agree with you on this. Those foreigner ask for lower cuz they intend to endure maybe 5 years save up a lump sum go back their country convert they are rich ppl. For local like us we still need to survive in spore and cope with the living cost. So in a way, we are being ousted from our job cuz we ask for higher pay.
One way to beat the foreigner is to be able to do job that they cannot or hard to do. For retail assistant it seem the job those foreigner can pick up quite fast so we local lost our competitive edge. For me everyday I am upgrading myself juz in case the next foreigner comes in with a skillset I do not have!!!! -

Hey dude, dont simply call all singaporeans as talent can? I think there are getting more and morefree loaders here in Singapore, including this forum. What you are suggesting here is simply trying to make singaporeans (especially the younger generation) more lazy and be more stuck up because they are singaporean. Demand. Rising expectations of/from local young people. Rising living standards for foreign labour. On one hand, we have foreigners who are willing to work "better" jobs for lower pay and government treating them better, on the other we have youths that have high expectations from the society and proud people unwilling to work for food.
It goes both ways, seriously, I worry for myself after NS.. I can only afford a parttime degree and I certainly can't eat just doing freelancing once awhile/forever. -

To Gazelle: That's why I say that Teens are being heavily stereotyped, Just because some of our counterparts are pampered doesn't mean that ALL of us are pampered.. I come from a relatively poor family and about 60% of my bank account is money I saved everyday from my $4 allowance money and my yearly ang bao money
I understand the value of money and its very difficult for me to pay for my transportation fees, food money and daily needs with $600 when my parents already stopped giving me money and I also have to save up my own money for my school books when school reopens -
