My school hours in the past

  WHen i was in pri or sec school, 1988- 1997
  
  my school hours like 8- 12.30, the rest of the time just play and sleep..How come now parents complain about school hours? has it become longer?

  5 days week. Most CCA and remedial lessons push to after school. Longer recess time, it seems.

  I had more time to do other things like being creative and engaging in gamews, soccer or music and arts.

  I stayed back in school so much that I've grown used to it. And on a rare day which I get to go home early, I'll most likely stay back in school to practise my video editing skills...

  Just an excuse for them to make school hours longer.
  Not much activities on sat, and some ccas are still held on saturdays.

  i remember in JC last year, when the malay drama night was coming.. this whole week i had 7.30am - 10.45pm days.

  While preparing for school concert, we even have to stay overnight. Thats during the holidays though. But I came back to school every day of the holiday to prepare... Thinking about it makes me yawn...

  My school starts at 7.20 and ends at 1.50 when I was in secondary school. Can't remember primary school, but definitely shorter than secondary school days.

  afternoon class 130pm to 630pm
  sec sch all morning class 730am to 1pm
  kinda miss sec sch life

  Short school hours were for the people who were still schooling in the = 80s , 90s and up to 2000 maybe...
  
  anybody from the timeperiod can remember the afternoon assembly at
  1.30Pm then go home chaio...balik kampung go eat sleep and play computer games like Streetfighter, Fatat fury on Neo Geo at arcade. school so carefree and short hours back then , cause a lot of people buy branded goods at orchard paragon, hang about and make problem at lukcy plaza, Heeren, Far East Plaza, Somerset, Cityhall .. Ah beng and Ah girl many at that period of time. (10 years ago)

  Sometimes those CCAs can get a little bit too much... Ah, now I'm also trying to cope with days up to 5PM daily..In sec school my days latest were up to 2.30PM...
  
  now schools rarely finish at 12 or 1...if it does, the most one day out of the whole week
