Eerie Chinese New Year music in Bedok MRT area

  Was at Bedok Mrt station around 4-5pm. Can hear from the station that the Bedok Central around there have loudspeakers playing CNY songs in blues rhythm.
  
  Very eerie singer and after hearing awhile (i was waiting for MRT), it makes my stomach turns and head giddy...
  
  Damn scary, imagine chinese songs (New Year Songs) play in a very slow rhythm and song seemed sad and depressing.

  Anyone also heard it around this time? i know there is like a small amusement cum pasar malam there. Dunno who there so no-taste go play such depressing chinese new year songs.

  year lah...its like an english guy or malay guy singing the chinese song. I can hear it from the MRT station...but the beat is very slow and unusual....

  I think there used to be a Muslim cemetery in the Bedok/Siglap area in the past. The one at Bishan was a Chinese burial ground.

  I live in Bedok and no leh, I havent heard the music AT ALL leh. So scary.
  
  Anyway, my brother told me traditional chinese music is quite strange cos a lot of it is using minor chord/key or something, and that is usually used for 'sad' songs.

  Singapore can have alot of cemetries that's unknown to others. During WW2, people just buried their relatives where there's place to do so.
