guess who called me. some indian accented guy called from US asking me for my application for the american green card lottery (oops, my bad for doing their form online.) and wanted to increase my chances, etc. i refused, he asked me to speak with his supervisor. i hung up almost laughing. -

i have no doubt that they make money from those lottery, but i actually heard of ONE success case! I too think getting TOTO tickets are better than the whatever American Green Card Lottery Draw they have. -
THe Green Card Lottery is a legitimate lucky draw by US State Department.
It is a FREE to join lottery and every country got quota one.
How you join is simply send an envelope with the necessary particulars to US State Deparment. And they will inform you the results.
SADLY, people see this as a money making opportunity. Say will increase chances and stuff, what they do is simply get paid sending the same envelope that you could actually have done it yourself.

Anyway, even if you had won, it makes you eligible for the visa, but there are still many requirements to meet after you had won. One of which is moving and staying in US within 2 years of winning. -
