Years back already had this claim, the bell curve thing. Say Chinese higher IQ, quite a topic back then. 100 is normal. Forrest Gump is slightly lower. Got a famous model IQ 180.. IQ tests only limited sorts of intelligence, got other intelligence like spatial, athletic, memory strength etc. Why give those ppl at mensa so much credit based on the IQ tests they set? Wat is so intelligent abt being able to spot patterns and logically repeat them?

This is important because it can helps to solve problems or crimes. It induces logical thinking why it happened this way and what might happen next. It is useful in alot of issues, even emotionally like when you see someone reacting in a certain way and you can deduce roughly what that person is feeling or thinking about, and what might happen next. You mean IQ tests are deviced to sniff out Sherlock Holmes? Believe deduction is obselete, speak CSI. Anyways deduction is conclusion drawn along plenty of guesswork and assumptions. Pattern picking is not deduction, its one straight path of logic to one answer.

I believe that Singaporeans are generally smarter than the avg american. Been there, and have seen it for myself to say this.
But noticed that this trend is dying. Kids these days dun seem as smart.. not interested and aware of current affairs. Dunno how to see patterns etc. -
