Leukaemia patient in need of blood..

  A school teacher of mine was diagnosed with the disease. Is in need of B+ or O+ blood. Any helpful soul pls PM me asap. Will get back to u. Thx alot.

  Bone marrow or blood? As far as I know, bone marrow is what they need.

  Oh.... I don't know my blood group. By the way, got minimum requirements to donate or not? Can just go there and check if can, shun bian donate.

  Since she is blood group B+, she can accept O- and B- blood as well.

  THere's this message circulating among NJC students n alumni. I've contacted the patient's daughter. Yep.. all she said was tt she needed blood.

  I think one common misconception that many people have is that to help someone in need of blood, you need to find people with the same/compatible blood type to donate blood.
  
  This is not the case.
  
  Anyone with any blood type can go donate, and specify that you'd like to help this particular patient.
  
  What the blood bank will do is to release a pack of compatiable blood (in this case, B or O) to the patient in need, once it receives a replacement pack from a donor, and it doesn't matter what blood type the donor donates.

  but looking at the questionnaire, I'm not suitable to be a blood donor.
  
  I have been constantly seeing doctor and juz had an injection last month.
  
  dinoe that there's so many requirements.. no wonder blood bank dun have enough blood.
