Anyways, your best bet is to check with your bank. Hopefully, they accept that it is a fraud and the charges can be reversed for you. I only know of credit cards. There's usually a fraud protection scheme. And if there is any hint of a credit card being compromised? The payment/transaction will not go through and the owner notified which usually result in the credit card being terminated and a new card issued.

debit cards can be used on the internet as per credit card. i used mine for airline purchases before, many times.
