Its the time of the yr again! Valentine's day..

Nv know exactly what I should be doing this 14th Feb..
Dinners at Posh restuarants? Roses? Well, both are simply too expensive and overpriced on this "special" day.. And even despite paying for all these dinners and flowers, i would nv say that its money well-spent! Cos' I dun really happen to remember all the 14 Feb of my life! or at least those yrs where I happen to be attached...
And the thing is, I have always been telling Bfs not to bother abt dining out and buying roses cos' every other day with "him" should be the same...
But if they do really heed my advice to "not bother", will I be Bothered? Ironically, Yes, I will and u bet how much i am BOTHERED! How silly eh... isnt it a contradictory world! sigh..
Can anyone tell me how to spend this day?
Or should i spend it like every other Yr, simply enhancing the "commercial-value' 4 this "special" day and Help boost Singapore's economy?

If the ger is a smart ger she would rather the bf give her money instead cuz it is just not economical at all. Can celebrate earlier or later so is cheaper. If guy wanna spend money may as well give the money to the ger rite?

Well... maybe the "Dream" part of a reln applies to everyone regardless how practical a gal is... it's pointless to approach a day which is usually full of (or wants to be) good happy romantic FEELINGS, with logical thinking.
the above is the reason why you sound contradicting.
my take? feelings cannot buy, we need all the love and happiness we can get. money can always earn back. -

I guess it applies during parktor stage. Once married stage it is practical rules over dreams cuz got house loan, electricity, water, gas, conservancy, phone etc etc bills to pay. If got baby got baby expenses, daily groceries etc etc.... tat time no more dreaming liao only know money is always not enuff. So got chance can save sure save.
When you reach that stage you will know what I mean -

yeah. v-day can be very commercialised.... but sometimes, it's a good opportunity to buy flowers for everyone in the office and friends... not every day would u do that and not get stares!
