actually, it's a simple idea to do. get the whole apache installation into a usb drive and there u have it. but maybe they haven't considered whether the firewall settings of the host computer might cause problems.

First and foremost what is the capacity of the the USB plug? Isn't it essentially the same as installing on a normal hard disk? If the USB plug is say 4-8 Mb then I say it is worth taking a look but if the USB plug is say 256Mb 512Mb etc.... it can easily fit in server program
