i got A1 for my chi

  i got a1 for my chinese .... express chinese but i now sec 4 becuz i took the exam last year as i m higher chinese... so i want to ask if i can take the chinese a1 to replace my r5 subject? this year o lvl? but then i heard that if liek that..then my L1 cannot use higher MT liao how???
  
  (i sec 4 now liao o lvl year..so i want to know if i can take the eng exam PRIVATELY
  during the june holidays...and then count in my L1r5 when i get the november results in feb nxt year...i feel that taking the june paper and november paper can increase my chances of scoring A1 becuz june no ppl in sg take only i take so i think easier rite? but then will JC accept the cert i dun know so can u kind felow ppl help me?plz reply)

  my school force my to take 1... if can rite... i think i can get a 8 pointer for my 1r5...becuz my eng suk... always get b3...

  but for L1R5, ur L1 cannot be ur CL1
  means cannot take both chinese subject into calculation....
  
  mus be English (L1) with CL2
  or CL1 and R5

  use ur HCL as 1st lang lor. try to get A1 for other subjects then..

  cannot have both chinese in ur L1R5
  
  if ur L1 is english, then u can use the express chinese
  if ur L1 is ur higher chinese, then u cannot put express chinese in the R5

  Oh man. I think I am going to do badly in my English. Can anyone tell me how to improve my English? Do not tell me to read the newspaper as I have been reading it everyday since Secondary 1, but it does not seem to be working. I also read model compositions and memorise them, but I my marks are only mediocre. What should I do?

  I dont really see the point in memorising model compositions. You have to read it and ask yourself why this is a good compositions. Write down wods that you dont understand in a book, check it up in the dictionary, and then try using it. Thats building up your vocabulary
  
  step3:
  Make an attempt to speak more English if you already dont. If your friends are good in English, tell them to correct you if they hear you make a mistake. If you think in coherent and correct English, when you write, you will naturally make less mistakes.

  It is becos you memorise all those compo models tts why your marks average. Examiners are looking for originality. Go develop your own ideas and style.

  erm wad the hell is coherant...
  and really ar.. examiners looking for orginality ar... wa nai guai liao no wounder i always get b3 for my eng... not more no less..sec one until now leh...last time still have cloze passage tyco tyco help me not dun have wa sia lah....dun know wad to do.. chi get a1 also not use eng b3 u die die liao hope this year o lvl my eng get a2 thats all i nid give me good luck ppl ! or rather scuk your eng brain juice out and give me eat.. so i can score a1 bb all

  There's a reason for you to read the papers lah. To improve your general knowledge and analysis and also vocab.Hehehe Unless you only read the life section then maybe difficult to improve bah since life section have all the interesting entertainment articles, comics, movies etc

  hm...read the dictionary ...im sure when you read newspapers sure got words u dunno? then must remember to check dictionary.....also try writing stories which few people write, then can distinguish yourself from the others more easily...if you really serious about it, you can also prepare a few essay outlines or think of some creative ideas first, so that if exam come out no need to think so much and waste time...for functional writing just follow the 5 points and write in detail, sure no problem one...make sure as few grammatical errors as possible, got varied vocabulary and the sentences must be fluent...yep u can do it
