Additional mathematic....

  I m currently in sec 3 and i wish to take A-math. This is because i know that it is hard to enter Jc's sci stream without add math...
  
  so guy any suggestion. sld i beg my principle to offer me A-math or take it as a private candidate

  yeah... with an amaths background JC maths would be a lot easier... so anyway, u can try asking ur principal... show some enthusiasm while doing so.. but if she says no and u REALLY wanna go to a JC...den take a pte candidate lor.. n engage a private tutor...

  well.. if u're good enuff.. a maths can dun take lah.. lolz.. like me lor.. i oso dunhav a maths backgrd.. yet i'm taking 4 sub.. depend on which jc u go to lah.. i took a maths during my jc life anyway.. useless to me anyway..

  haha.. wad we study in sch over the 10++ years is useless lah. i dont remember clearly how plants take in water already frm the soil or the parts of the kidney already.

  show that ur current maths results are good,ask to be placed on a probation....but be prepared to be disappointed...cos the principal would probably be thinking on the lines of "if i approve,other pple would come and beg for amaths too."

  if your overall results are good u can still enter sci stream without A-maths. But u'd have to take A-maths in JC if you dont take it now...

  Ask your principal. Will be best if your teacher puts in a few good words for you.

  u can dun take amaths in JC.. well.. it's when u wan change to arts stream then u'll nid the amaths de.. tt's wat my maths teacher told me.. so i remain in sci stream.. tt a maths is useless to me lor.. waste my time to sstudy.. and my money to register for the amaths.. T.T

  take add maths if you can handle it. you'll need it even if you go to poly.

  No la... I'm in poly, don't need A-maths. I took A-maths in first 3 months in JC cos if I wanted to stay on in JC, and go Uni thereafter, I'd need the A-maths grades. So if you're aiming for uni, take A-maths.

  Its a lot of hard work and discipline if you want to do it on your own. Your sec 2 foundation is probably weak so thats another problem.
  
  To enter JC you do not need "A" math, as long as you score well for the core L1R5 subjects you will qualify for JC.
  
  But If you decide to go solo, make sure you are prepared to sacrifice time and effort the first few months. If you can survive the first few chapters the the rest should be easier. Speaking from experience, the survival rate for going solo is about 1 out 10, because most people do not have the discipline and commitment and give up after 1 year. But i know there are people who failed Sec 2 Math, took "A" Math privately and score A1s.

  i think even if you wanna speak to your principal about a maths.. you still have to have some pupils in your school that are also willing to take the course together with you.

  U dun need a-maths to enter poly...U may not need to do more maths if U are not in courses such as engineering...but if U do need to take maths in poly...having a good a-maths grade can let U skip a few maths modules.

  Ya. There are some normal acad student taking A-maths too.... Actually i m in express course and i m surpose to be in sec 4 tis yr..... I retained
  
  I truly wish to repent and do wish in my studies.... Don't konw whether the principle want to gimme chance anot....

  and you kena retained already.. you really have to plead hard with ur principal coz' that's already a bad mark on ur record. you have to forget abt online forums, orchard rd, bugis, exercising and just study!!!
