I got mine recently from Courts promotion. An Olympus FE110 5 Megapixel with freebies throw in then the pricing is just fair $349 (incl. GST). There are other models of cuz but most are quite expensive so a cheapskate person like me goes for that.
The pic quality not bad but only bad point is when switching mode to see the pictures the loading can be quite slow and cuz it uses normal AA batteries it can goes flat much faster than those proprietary batteries digicam. It is also fat and not so slim. Also the video feature is not that good and perfect cuz afterall this model is meant for still pictures not moving pictures like video. If you not so particular, the 10+ mins of video is ok with abt 512Mb xD card

Muz factor in whole package. Do they come with freebies like wat major store gives? xD, CF and watever memory card cost money also. Factor all in then see if the deal is cheap. -

It is the same for those big stores. They only offer those pricing on certain specific model. You wan othermodels then I guess gotta turn to smaller shops. But I think those models they promote or bring in are quite popular and idiot proof camera hahahaa..... at least to me a beginner digicam user -
Overall i think for good quality and bright picture you can take canon cos their picture are bright, the white balance is good and the picture are quite crisp. For sony thier desing is nice but the picture taken is so so only. You can go sim Lim square buy but do your research in case of being cheated.
