NTU has many programmes for students to ensure a holistic education, rigorous in domain fundamentals, yet broad-based, with ample opportunities for research, entrepreneurship, leadership, and international exposure. The AY 2006 undergraduate tuition fees is adjusted to help recover costs due to inflation and to ensure that the university is able to continue to provide high value differentiating programmes to give our students a world-class education.
NTU has informed student leaders of the upcoming increase in tuition fees in AY2006-07 and explained the rationale for the increase.
Students who have taken up the Tuition Fee Loan from the relevant banks and students who have accepted Tuition Grant from the Ministry of Education are not required to re -sign the respective Agreements. Students who are Singapore Citizens are not required to sign the Tuition Grant Agreement to receive the tuition grant. NTU will notify the banks of the new tuition fees for AY2006-07.
NTU will ensure that no student admitted to the university is denied the opportunity of an education because of financial difficulties. We will continue to practise need-blind admissions. A comprehensive suite of financial assistance schemes has been put in place to help students. NTU will continue to make available more financial assistance schemes for students. Staff from NTUÂ’s Office of Financial Assistance which was set up since 2004, will be on hand to advise students on financial help schemes.
