Singapore is never safe, don't take things for granted. Just because we don't know something from the press doesn't mean it never happened, in Singapore there are alot of cover ups. Sometimes, if the police is ineffective and failed to catch some big criminal, then you won't get to read about it. When they caught some criminal, then you can be sure they make alot of noise, to show people that they have done their job.

Singapore IS safe. It's just the matter whether YOU are trying to be safe or not.
Body chopping case? Becoz of hatred or jealousy.
Bank robbery? Desperate for money.
Gun shot-outs? Revenge.
Everything that happens HAVE a reason behind it. You just have to figure out why. Some are difficult and complicated but is simple once u get the basics.
Anyway, Singapore is considered safe. You try living in America for one whole year and bring back the results. Is it safer than Singapore or more dangerous?
Oh, and I heard the Nepal is the safest country. I HEARD. Not confirmed. Can anyone help me by telling me who? -
