Pampered kids?I beg to differ

Apparently, those commentators are so shallow.Maybe they have kids in elite schools where almost everyone is middle upper income.Focusing on the neighbourhood school side, i have known a few who are definately not pampered.
1)A Malay girl with a dysfuctional family, she has to work at macdonalds everyday.She is the sole breadwinner indirectly, i always help her with her mathematics and she got quite good grades.Father pays alimony.
2)A boy whose parents gamble and neglect him, i had to help him in his work sometimes.
3)This boy which is so poor, he cannot even buy rice with curry. -

Hey people, there are really pampered kids around theses days, and increasing in numbers.
It is directly proportional to the increasing number of educated parents...how true that is!
Kids who wait for their maids to wash dishes, take off their school uniform, carry their bags, wait for parents to fetch them, putting on their shoes for them, shouting in public demanding toys or food, etc..
You cant help but acknowlege that these scene are becoming increasing common.. well, as parents get more educated and richer, they pamper their kids more right??
Of cse in singapore, we also have low income families, where the kids are not receiving as much attention and money as they would like from their counterparts. So, we see kids from broken families, complicated background, exceling in their studies despite their hardship, etc....
BUT generally, kids are getting more pampered...because the families are getting more educated these days! -

some are pampered. some are already juggling work and school, living like an adult, to earn $ to eat and support family members.
let's just say, there are more pampered kids than kids in difficulty, and so we take notice of the pampered kids more..

Parents and the society at large is the root cause, not kids
Kids are born with nothing, its what values the parents and the society are teaching them
We can gripe all day about pampered kids, but it wont solve the issue of a materialistic culture -
well, i understand alot of people donate money, however, it seems that no matter how much money is donated, the people will only seem to have received a minimal amount of donations.. we dont actually know whats happening to our money when we donate them to "charitable organizations for the poor"
