I'm 26 i remember when i was small my dad threw glass plates and cups infront of us when he was angry. This is some thing that i will not forget in this life time. Up till today i find our relationship is like stranger we never talk, never eat together and i have phobia seeing him.

Well, i'm starting to hate my dad. For all the things that he did, always taking my mum for granted. He never really cares how my mum feels..my mum always feels pressurized with him around. He will always scold whenever he's not happy with anything..even the slightest thing..i'm disappointed. I really hope my mum would not feel so pressurized.
But having said all that, my dad is still my dad. Hatred between Family won't last long. Well, i can only say, i'm trying my very best to bring everyone in and close. -

Are there fathers who feel that just providing money and maybe food he has furfilled his duty? Is this the oriental way of thinking?

We used to behave like strangers,
but things improved..
we are like distant friends now..
I want to tell him i treasure him.. but its still very hard to verbally say it to him..
No more sad history for him now.. I just wan him to be happy

i hate my father.. i saw him strangled my mum when they were quarrelling..happened when i was small and when i'm into my teens..i remembered i threw things at him to make him stop..
and now..he threw my mum out of their bedroom when my mum refused to have sex with him..bloody hell..
