  roughly, low risk are govenrment bonds, deposit accounts
  
  medium risks are corporate bonds
  
  high risks are commodities trading and shares trading, or specifically, speculation in shares

  if i were you, i'd choose to put money in the bank rather than buy singtel shares. all shares are volatile and risky to me.
