News on new ISP coming to Singapore?

Any news on the new ISPs coming to Singapore? They have been saying it should be coming on 2006 since last year, so when are they coming to take on Singnet, Pacific and Starhub? Time to switch...

Heard it's March, but no news yet.
I remember reading an article by Straits Times about the new ISP, and they got say date, but all not confirmed de. Anyway, can't remember it either. -

Qalaa.net is one of the ISPs...If Im not wrong they are currently in negotiations with several service providers. M1 should be launching their services soon. Dont worry, they definately will launch by June.

if i'm not wrong, it has something to do with the WiMax licences that iDA has issued in oct last year.

additionally, m1 is launching 3.5G soon, which promise speeds of up to 3.6mbps for mobile phone. however, phone support is not there yet, and it is not related to WiMax. -

power-line communications (PLC)? nopes, even though a 2.2mbps line was possible, singapore power didn't offer it cos it didn't want to branch into telecommunications, and there are many other viable broadband systems available.

does the recent announcements on sg setting up high speed internet got anything to do withh this?
the cheapest bb unlimited plan now offered by singnet...38 dollars pm on 512k.....pacnet not lowering their 512k though and starhub is concentrated on cable...withh compliments from their free tv channels...well if u surf and download and family watch cable tv den starhuub should be worth a look......if new isp cames dun know if they will be able to offer price plans as low as 38 dollars (singnet)...considering they shall be paying ST a fee for using their line? -
not sure, but they will most likely they will still have to go thru STIX, unless the bigger companies like M1 can have their own line to Japan or US.
