i lost my i/c for around 1 year liao, everytime i open my mailbox, i alway hope any kindsoul will return my i/c * worst, i forget i lost in singapore or malaysia
i pass my days without i/c by using driving license,
spotcheck?------------ license!
army reservice book in?------- license!
fail ippt go maju RT? -------license!
change pass to get in building?-----license!
open account in UOB? ------license!
...etc..etc
this time i cannot get away liao, needed to change pass to changi T2* got project there.
the police die die want my i/c to change pass even my name is in the data base!
forumite, how much i need to pay to replace my i/c?

The replacement fee for a lost IC is S$100 for the first loss and S$300 for the second and subsequent losses.

last time i lost my ic at bugis arcade. heng got people mail me back the ic. i was considered lucky. you wait 1 year liao go make new 1 la.

Processing Time
The processing time for the first loss is 1 month and 3 months for second and subsequent loss(es). -
* The registrants should call in person at:
Counter 1, IC Section
Citizen Services Centre
3rd Floor, ICA Building
10 Kallang Road
Singapore 208718
* The registrant should then obtain Q-number and wait to be called.
* The original copy of the police report should be produced if available.
* Alternatively, Statutory Declaration should be produced in lieu of a police report. (You may wish to download the declaration form)
* Once the replacement registration is completed and payment (S$100 for the first loss and S$300 for the second and subsequent loss) is made and a receipt will be issued.
* This receipt must be produced when collecting the replacement IC in 1 or 3 months' time.

If IC "stolen", i think exempted from the replacement fee?
The replacement fee is just to tekan one. Because back in mid-90s the government very concerned about ppl keep losing IC because of increasing fraud. So they increased fee and waiting time just to tekan.
But during my NS, my man lost his pink ic (during his pass IPPT disruption), he reported to police who took pity and the fact he is serving the nation.... he recommended an exemption of penalties.. he got the IC replaced free.
So if your IC is "stolen". it may help. -
losing IC is not money problem...
its troublesome...
how many times u see the papers where they say some guy pick up the IC to borrow ah long money...den ah long come find that guy...

btw...during my NS...my section i/c lost my entire section's 11Bs...also file police report...but still have to pay leh...lucky its SAF 11B...replacement fee 25 bucks...per person.where got serve the nation no need to pay one? -
